Blenders
Blenders are used for mixing ingredients or food items together. It holds the ingredients in its container that can be composed of plastic, glass, porcelain or stainless steel. This container is mounted on a base which contains the blade motor and speed control buttons. The container has a lid on top to prevent the ingredients from spilling while operating.
It usually has graduated markings for accurate measuring. Blenders require electricity to operate and speed control buttons are also available. Modern blenders have much more speed control buttons
Some high-powered blenders are able to crush ice and mill grains effortlessly. The low powered models need a small amount of liquid added into the container for better crushing.
It could damage the blades otherwise. The liquid addition helps to operate and break the solids more easily. Blenders have also been used in microbiology, laboratory and food science. Blender was first invented in 1921 by an English engineer named Dr. Oliver Johnson Schofield.
